Martin Taylor’s Guitar Retreat New York

An amazing 4 days and 4 nights of learning, playing, eating and sleeping guitar in the beautiful Catskills Mountains. Just 2.5 hours from New York City this retreat will be limited to only 30 participants who will join Martin and his guest instructors for an unforgettable musical experience.

Martin Taylor's Guitar Retreat New York is an event for players and music lovers of all ages, levels, interests, and taste! Whether you are a master player, a beginner, or just an enthusiastic fan, our four day programs offer activities and workshops for you. Our environments are non-competitive and are strictly about immersing one's self in the joys of music and our lovely surroundings!

We made a point to have every guitar player team up with a partner and come up with duets. That sets the ball rolling. It’s a laidback and fun environment. We’re all here to learn, but also to have a really good time as well.

Location

Full Moon Resort

Located one half hour west of Woodstock, is a year-round mountain resort in the heart of the “Forever Wild” Catskill Forest Preserve. Dedicated to the celebration of music and art in nature, this one hundred-acre wonderland of mountains, fields, and streams is a world of its own.

Accommodations

Accommodations are charming in their simplicity, with some rooms in a simple B&B style with shared hallway baths and others with a more traditional country inn style with private bath.
Please Note: There is no cell phone reception at the Resort or in Big Indian and Guest rooms do not have telephones, TV’s, air conditioning or daily house keeping.  Wi-Fi, cable television and complimentary phone service are available at the Inn (please bring a phone card for international calls). Healthy cuisine served by a friendly, professional staff is the trademark of
Full Moon Catering.  With menus offering – hot buffet breakfasts and lunches, down-home country barbecues and formal gourmet dinners. Fresh, natural ingredients (often organic) are the common thread throughout.

Area Attractions

You’ll find hiking trails, ski slopes, antique shops and family attractions within minutes.  County Route 47 (Slide Mountain Road), is home to three state trailheads, fly fishermen are drawn here to some of the Northeast’s most fabled trout streams, and in Phoenicia, others enjoy tubing and shopping at Catskill Corners.

  • Registration & Payments
    • All rates are per-person, unless stated otherwise.
    • All prices subject to change. Prior sales excluded. Dreamcatcher Events reserves the right to change any price, package or offering at any time without prior notice.
    • All rates are subject to 8.9% surcharge, which includes all local, state, and occupancy taxes.
  • Installment Payment Plans
    • Upon registration, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total purchase amount is charged to your credit card.
    • 100% of the remaining balance due on installment sales is automatically charged to the credit card on file on May 1, 2016.
    • Any registrations received after May 1, 2016 must be paid in full at the time of registration.
  • Cancellations
    • All payments and deposits are final and non-refundable.
  • Minor Policy
    • 16 and 17 year olds are permitted with consent forms. Participants under 16 are permitted if accompanied by legal guardian/chaperone.
